About Tricia

I love making art. I love crafting. And when those two worlds meet — often using materials rescued from the recycling bin — that’s when the magic happens. I believe that creativity and sustainability go hand in hand, and I’m happiest when transforming the ordinary into something beautiful, colorful, and full of texture.

I have been an artist and maker since childhood, driven by a passion for creativity in all its forms. Whether transforming recycled materials into garden sculptures or using fresh paint and paper for making vibrant collages, I am always inspired by colour and pattern. My current work focuses on mixed media, with a strong emphasis on repurposing materials. Over the years, I have led workshops teaching others how to creatively reuse items like tin foil containers, cardboard packaging, and junk mail envelopes. “Not very glamorous materials”, you say; take a look at the beautiful outcomes below.

I love to experiment with a variety of art materials, often asking myself, “What if I do this…?” That sense of playfulness and curiosity keeps my creative process fresh and enjoyable—I don’t take myself too seriously, but I do take the task of making art very seriously.

I am committed to encouraging creative potential – mine and anyone else’s. The best way I have found to make that a reality is to offer in-person workshops where I can pass on techniques developed over years and see how other people blossom into their own creative expression.
